Floral Jems Logo Design
Over January to March 2022, I designed a new logo for Floral Jems, a small south London florist.
I initially provided marketing advice to Floral Jems back in 2016 when they were just starting up. The business has grown from a one-person operation to a team of people, and a new logo was needed to reflect a more grown-up, professional company.
Jem and I met five or so times to discuss her logo idea and develop it and suggest iterations based on research about competitors and industry trends. Jem is an ideal client, and she provided clear direction about what she wanted her logo to look like.
For the company name, we chose a new art deco style font that would move away from the handwritten font in the original logo, which has now become clichéd. As part of the logo, we created a new illustration to reflect Jem’s floristry style and I also updated the business tagline.
I think the new logo is clean and striking and will reach a wider range of businesses, events, and clients. We are both very pleased with the final outcome, and Floral Jems is now using the logo on its website, marketing materials, and social media.
