Think Pieces Review
“Think Pieces Review” is an online publication by the UCL’s Institutes of Advanced Studies (IAS). The publication is a collection of articles inspired by their research as well as current affairs.

From August 2022, I was engaged by Think Pieces Review to help them to develop their website’s features and web design. The client came to me already having parts of a WordPress website in place, and I helped them with CSS updates and design changes that would improve the look and usability of the site. My work included optimizing the website for mobile devices, making improvements to the navigation, and creating the search tool and email subscription form. I also helped to develop the administration features of the website, such as installing plugins for features including adding footnotes to articles.

My aim while working on Think Pieces Review was to deliver design and feature upgrades in a fast and effective way. The client was incredibly capable, and I was brought in to help them deliver more advanced features and elements. In the end, I redesigned nearly every aspect of the website so that the fonts, colours, and sizes were consistent.

Think Pieces Review were very pleased with the updates I made, and I am proud to have helped create an online publication that is helping to share the research of UCL with a wider audience.
